It’s that time of year again: our annual trivia episode We’re joined by YouTuber Red Bard this time around, who we met at Anime Boston earlier this year. That image of the Dai-Shogun cover reminds me of a story:

Dai Sato was one of the many guests at AnimeFest 2017. My friend Micchy brought a copy of Dai-Shogun, complete with that cover, to have him sign it (as he was the head writer for that show). According to her, he was initially startled (presumably because they didn’t use anything quite so raunchy for the Japanese DVD covers), but smiled and signed it regardless.
