Hey AWO,
Wanted to mention some things about the Mecha Kaikan. Gundam Planet was selling various nippers along with their model selection, also the Kaikan staff themselves were providing little model kit tool kits for people to borrow and use while working on their kits. Most of them included nippers, sanding files, and more.
Also I was the one who provided the Shogun Warrior toys to the room, I thought they’d add something to the room and the Kaikan staff were thrilled to have them on display. I got them from a friend [Austin from Third Impact Anime! —-Daryl] in pretty rough shape, and got some 3D replica parts for missing or damaged parts. Also Reideen had his stickers redo with replicas as well and I did some touch up painting on his head, which is (actually a rubber molded piece) with acrylic model paints, which generally are safe on a lot of plastics and materials like that. Hopefully next year I can have Great Mazinger looking just as good.
Also thanks again for the shout out always for Ugly Giant Robots. It’s legit so much fun to run and the audience really helps make it great ever time.
