Anime World Order Show # 69b – Setting a Record For Usage of the "R" Word

The hentai hoedown that is Show 69 continues, with our special guest Zero-chan from Japanator. Gerald reviews Cream Lemon and Daryl doesn’t review Wicked City so much as synopsize it scene by scene so you don’t have to see it. Psst: see it.

Watch this space for special pictures. Work-safe ones, even. Maybe.

Review: Cream Lemon (0:00 – 32:21)
Gerald takes it upon himself to review this decades-long, massive anthology of monster-creating insanity that gave rise to Project A-Ko. Since each part of Cream Lemon is its own separate story and fits into its own genre, the decision is made to only talk about some of the better entries in the series. Somehow while discussing the finer details of it all, we end up making allusions to Firefly as well as jars containing the tears of neglected children. Also, angel’s blood. And Transformers. Can’t forget those.

“Review”: Wicked City (32:21 – 1:23:12)
Look at the running time of that segment. You could just actually go and watch Wicked City in that amount of time, but then you run the risk of someone walking in and seeing you watching it. You can’t possibly pretend you’re not watching Wicked City, but with this audio review, you can act like you’re listening to something respectable! In keeping with the previous review of Demon City Shinjuku, a scene by scene breakdown ensues. Normally this sort of thing would be edited down. NOT THIS TIME. Total number of FALCON PUNCH-es thrown in this anime: three.

Our hero Taki Renzaburo is just too freaking cool to worry about the little things in life, like how he’s been FREAKING IMPALED THROUGH THE STOMACH
Makie would be totally radical if not for the fact that she’s a Kawajiri female and therefore gets brutally raped within 30 seconds of this image capture. This statement is true regardless of what image of her is used. Notable pornstars sporting Makie’s skin complexion: two.
Yoshiaki Kawajiri is a God when it comes to character designs. Why, there must be at least 30 points of douchebag articulation visible in just this frame alone.
In the name of Jesus, Fortenberry casts out the demon of elbow spikes! All that remains is for Clarissa to go to the purity ball! Because nothing is more effective for contraception than a ring and a card. Except for well, actual contraception. Also, molars in the pudendum.
As you can see, Wicked City is a sophisticated and classy adult erotica thriller that services a niche which mainstream porno does not. Therefore when you purchase this on DVD you should do so by clicking here. Talk about shameless advertising. Let us know when you’re ready to buy that HDTV or PS3!

Part 3 featuring Clarissa’s doujinshi primer is already edited and ready to go, but we’ll let you all contemplate the grim nature of this part for a few days first before springing that one on you.

  1. The whole Cream Lemon Ami episodes are creepy and gross,I mean she 12 years old in the first episode …sick.

Gerald do you really like that kind of stuff???

If you had actually listened to the episode, (either that or you’re really bad at making jokes) I said that the Ami saga was important, but that I didn’t care for it for a number of reasons, that being one of them, the other being the whole “brother/sister” thing. In fact, I’m pretty sure I said multiple times that I didn’t like the Ami saga, but it’s hard to ignore something when they made like nine parts of it.

  3. Yeah I know Gerald I was just being a cheeky monkey.

One thing im sure we both can agree on: Odin rules.

I know you like Gall force eh??,I have the poster for the 3rd movie framed in my house(right beside my odin and queen millenia posters)

Have you ever played the n.e.s game for gallforce??

  4. Sorry for posting more than one comment on here guys,I just wanted to say to Gerald I apologize for my 1st comment.I guess the problem was the tone of my thought (which was cheeky)
and the tone of the typed word did not match up so well…..

to quote Morrissey “Big mouth strikes again”

  5. >The whole Cream Lemon Ami episodes are creepy and gross,I mean she 12 years old in the first episode …sick.< I thought she was in high school (maybe Jr. High?). It’s hard to tell the ages of anime characters anymore unless their stated. If you weren’t told that the girls in Lucky Star were in high school, wouldn’t you have believed them to be 12-13 as well? Which is funny considering how there’s anime series were the girls look much older than their stated age (Releena Peacecraft looks much older than 15). Then there’s the girls from Jigoku Sensei Nube which look HS age but are actually in the 5th grade.

And the Lucky Star girls, which look like kindergartners but are in high school as an excuse for grown men to jack off to them.

  7. How to beat such tough attack strings as punchpunchpunchpunch: Hold the “down” direction on your controlagame device.

  8. Well, here’s my theory as to why there is so much rape in this anime:

    Almond Crush Pocky!

Case in point: I recently bought said product and noticed the following on the list of ingredients within vegetable oil –

Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Shea Butter, Sal Fat

    RAPESEED OIL?!?!

    RAPESEED OIL?!?!

Typo? I think not. The truth is out people. It’s all in the Pocky!

  9. The Lucky Star girls weren’t designed to be fapped to, any more than Potemayo or Hello Kitty. I mean, people fap to pictures of shit, but that doesn’t mean we should stop taking pictures of our bowel movements… right?

I would imagine that Itagaki was trying to burn his bridges and inflict as much damage to Tecmo as possible. Being an ass alienates some people, but it also attracts; being a tempermental “genius” can gain you a following.

    RAPESEED OIL?!?!

We call that canola oil on this here side of the Mason-Dixon, boy.

  10. OK, someone has to defend the live-action Wicked City, so let me say: demons riding around dueling each other on top of jumbo jets. Also, who doesn’t love some quality over-acting courtesy of Jackie Cheung?

I took a date to see Wicked City, the anime. It was a banner idea.
